The Cathedral School Guitar Group is a Guitar Ensemble. We commenced our Guitar Ensemble in 2014 under the direction of Mr Mickey Pye and Ms Sophie Jones from the Bathurst Academy of Music.

The students in this group focus on popular, contemporary, and country styles. Students are encouraged to be versatile and throughout the year have many performance opportunities such as the Bathurst Show, Bathurst Eisteddfod, School Fete and Family Night to enjoy playing as part of a group to an audience as well as the experience of representing their school.

All students in the Guitar group are expected to have a weekly Guitar lesson. This is the same for all members of the band.
