As part of the 2013 Annual School Improvement Plan, a major focus was on creating more awareness of the history of Cathedral School, and developing ways that this history could be celebrated.

After documenting some of our school’s history, four people or groups were identified as having significant influence on the development of our school and Catholic education. The individuals and groups sought inspiration from Christ and we draw from the charisms (spirituality) that they represent as we continue to strengthen our Catholic School identity.

Bishop Matthew Quinn,
Bishop Daniel Delany,
Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop, and
Venerable Catherine McAuley

It was decided to replace the existing student House names with Quinn, Delany, MacKillop and McAuley, and to incorporate these into a new School Crest.
