Cathedral Catholic Primary School is the oldest Catholic School west of the mountains and the oldest Catholic School in the Bathurst Diocese. It is on the site of the first Catholic Church built in Bathurst in 1839. Cathedral School commenced in 1842.

Cathedral Catholic Primary School has an outstanding reputation as an excellent school in the Bathurst region. We proudly promote our school as a centre of excellence across a broad range of academic, cultural, and sporting achievements. It is a school where staff, students and parents take pride in each other’s achievements.

At Cathedral Catholic Primary School we are proud of the rich learning community that has been created for all students. Our commitment is to work closely with parents in endeavouring to ensure that all students are given every opportunity to achieve their full potential. It is this commitment that ensures a strong partnership between the school, the Parish and the home where we work together to ensure that the vision for a strong, supportive, Catholic community becomes reality.

We do this in the context of our Catholic faith, welcoming children of all backgrounds and abilities, and valuing each child for the contribution he or she makes to the life of our school.

I hope you enjoy exploring this website.  I also hope you come and visit us and I am sure you will then see our philosophy reflected in practice, our beautiful grounds, first-rate facilities, dedicated staff and engaged students. And you will see how we aim to develop students who are, in the words of our vision statement, grounded in FAITH, living GOSPEL VALUES, and striving for EXCELLENCE in all areas of school life.
